Adding a new holiday schedule to Microsoft Teams.

A Holiday Schedule provides the ability to add an out of office message to an Auto Attendant over a period of time and set it up for a future date where the policy will be applied and removed automatically.

Order of Preference

Teams will preference the following order when a call comes in:

Steps to Create a Holiday Schedule

  1. Log into the Microsoft Teams Admin Portal.
    • https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/
  2. Go to Voice > Holidays.

  3. Click on Add to setup a new holiday.

  4. Enter a name for the holiday and select new date.

  5. Under Start time, select the calendar icon and choose the date when you’d like the holiday to begin.

  6. Use the drop-down list to select a start time for the holiday.

  7. Under End time, select the calendar icon and choose the date when you’d like the holiday to end.

  8. Use the drop-down list to select an end time for the holiday. The End time must be after the Start time.

    NOTE: If the holiday is for one full day (i.e., a 24 hour period), the End time should be set to the next day and the time to 12:00 AM. For example, if your organization is closed on January 1 for New Year’s day, set the Start time to January 1 12:00 AM and set the End time to January 2 @ 12:00 AM.

  9. Optionally, add more dates for recurring holidays.

  10. Select Save.

  11. Go to Voice > Auto attendants.

  12. Select the required Auto Attendant.

1.Go to Call flows during holidays.

  1. Click on Add to create a new holiday route

  2. Select the holiday created above.

  3. Select your call routing options.

  4. Select Save.

Steps to Change a Holiday Schedule

  1. Log into the Microsoft Teams Admin Portal
    • https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/
  2. Go to Voice > Holidays

  3. Select the holiday from the list.

  4. Under Start time, select the calendar icon and choose the date when you’d like the holiday to begin.

  5. Use the drop-down list to select a start time for the holiday.

  6. Under End time, select the calendar icon and choose the date when you’d like the holiday to end.

  7. Use the drop-down list to select an end time for the holiday. The End time must be after the Start time.

  8. Select Save.
